VICTORIA COOPER on ARTISTS' BOOKS (Pre 2005)
The work that I create in the computer is often about multi-perspective views of environments; snaps of reality moulded together to form long images that explore the nonverbal story.
This departs from the Renaissance view Ð that of looking through an artist-created window towards a single viewpoint perspective.
This style of image for me does not always allow fully for the way the eye looks and experiences the every day world Ð in three dimensions and over a period of time. It is through the scroll, folding book and single multi-perspective image that I invite the viewer to spend time to "read" and connect with my stories.
