VICTORIA COOPER on ARTISTS' BOOKS

The work that I create in the computer is often about multi-perspective views of environments; snaps of reality moulded together to form long images that explore the nonverbal story.

This departs from the Renaissance view that of looking through an artist-created window towards a single viewpoint perspective.

This style of image for me does not always allow fully for the way the eye looks and experiences the every day world in three dimensions and over a period of time. It is through the scroll, folding book and single multi-perspective image that I invite the viewer to spend time to "read" and connect with my stories.
