How do I get my account number and/or password?
NAVGAP will have sent you your ID number and password when you completed the 'test trn' process with NAVGAP or NAVGAPlite. (it was shown in the checktrn result email)
If you cannot find that email, try looking in any 'NewsLetter' email you have been sent by NAVGAP, as your account details will be shown at the bottom of that email.
If you have been sent any email for a missed game turn, you will also find your account ID and password in that email.NAVGAP is not programmed to allow it to send out a person's details, unless it gets a valid user ID number and matching password. This clearly does not help you, if you cannot find your ID number or password.
There is no 'auto' command available to allow you to get your ID number or password.
You must write to the Help Desk and ask for your details to be sent to you. (I will ask for some details to prove who you are, especially if your email address does not match the emial address held in the NAVGAP database and your account has been in-active).
Why is there not an automated command to get my account number and password?
It is possible to have NAVGAP respond to an automated command, say 'send ID/Password', but I've got concerns over the ease by which people can get email addresses, and there is little control over an automated command being used to send details to an email address that looks correct, but is being used by another person.Example 'vgap@yahoo.com' could belong to anyone. It could be used by a person to use NAVGAP, they then cease using that email address and another person at yahoo decides to use it. NAVGAP would have no way of seeing the change of owner for that email address.
Why am I not getting any email from NAVGAP
There can be a number of reasons for this type of problem, ranging from 'delays in Internet email transfer' to 'your email address being faulty'.If you are sending email to NAVGAP, especially TRN related email' and you see that NAVGAP has updated its web site (especially the game info page for your game), then you know that the problem is with the sending of email from NAVGAP to you.
Please have a look at the NAVGAP web page called 'Email Fails' to see if the NAVGAP Operator has listed your ID as having an email fault.
