SpaceLord V3.06

SpaceLord is a substitute for a human player in VGA Planets (version 3). It can be used to play against if no human players are available or it can be used to replace human players who are no longer playing.

SpaceLord is a player-side tool. That means it uses the data from RST-Files to generate the data for TRN-Files instead of writing to the host data directly.

This means that the SpaceLord does NOT cheat because it can't without the host noticing it. It uses the same data that the players use (it does not see or use host data)

What SpaceLord can do:

  1. All but the named settings in HConfig are supported.
  2. Uses many of the racial abilities, and knows about most special ship abillities.
  3. Supports alternative starmaps, ship hulls, beams and torpedos.
  4. Builds up a strong economy fast, and is pretty good at colonizing large territories.
  5. Handle any of the possible starting conditions.
  6. As a player side tool, you can use him as a fill-in even if you don't host the game.
  7. Doesn't cheat.
  8. Uses a couple of small tricks that probably aren't known by the average player.
  9. Does support races playing as teams.

What SpaceLord can't do:

  1. PHost is NOT supported (yet !)
  2. Doesn't know about Ion Storms. Period.
  3. Doesn't support the Engine Shield-Bonus for ship building and battle strategies.
  4. Most Addons are not supported.
  5. When playing for or against the Privateers or Crystallines, expect it to be a poor opponent.
  6. You may find deadlock situations where it is fooled into doing the same dumb thing over and over again.
  7. In an alliance, SpaceLord won't attack you, but will not support you either.
  8. Is (as a general rule) less capable when playing the sneakier races.
  9. Won't give up until completely wiped out (no ship, no planet, no nothing).

Player Instructions

  1. There are none.
