StormFront 1.0
StormFront allows players to control Ion Storms using ship devices called Graviton Pulse Generators. You can now defend your race from Ion Storms, and even use them to attack other races!
New Friendly Codes
- con
- If you set this friendly code on a planet, StormFront will send you its settings.
- ISF
- This friendly code will cause the planet to build a Graviton Pulse Generator. To install the generator on a ship, tell the starbase to repair the target ship.
- Ixx
- Setting this friendly code on a ship tells the Graviton Pulse Generator to use 20 times xx fuel to increase an Ion Storm's force points by xx. This will only affect an Ion Storm currently around the ship. Also, numbers from 1-9 should be entered as 01-09.
- Dxx
- As above, except this friendly code converts xx Ion Storm force points to 20 times xx fuel. You must have enough free space in your fuel tanks for this to work.
- Hxx
- This causes an Ion Storm's heading to change so that it is similar to that of your ship. Set xx to the ID number of the Ion Storm you are trying to renavigate (you must be inside the storm). Requires 200 fuel.
- GIS
- Use this fcode on a ship to Generate an Ion Storm. Requires 300 fuel.
Player Information
Building a GPGYou can only build a Gravitational Pulse Generator at a starbase that has Tech 10 Engines and at least Tech 6 beams. In addition, only a certain number of GPGs can be built by each race (5 by default).
Required Resources Tritanium 500 Duranium 500 Molybdenum 750 Supplies 300 Megacredits 10,000 Finally, set the Friendly Code of the planet building the GPG to ISF, and tell the starbase to repair the ship that is to receive the GPG.
Using a GPG to Generate an Ion Storm
If the maximum number of Ion Storms has not been reached, you can use a ship with a GPG to create a new Ion Storm.
To do this, your ship must have:
A new Ion Storm will then be created with the same heading as your ship.
- 300 Neutronium
- a heading of at least 5 light years
- a warp factor of 0
- friendly code GIS
